Arlington National Cemetary

Visiting the Arlington National Cemetary during
my recent trip to Washington D.C. left an
indelible impression on me. I was particularly
moved by the sense of reverence that shrouded the
massive lanscape of endless headstones. I also
experienced a number of emotions as upon witnessing
the United States s0ldier as he marched
with choreographed precision back and forth in
front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He
reflected a presence of dignity and respect as he
performed his duty. Needless to say, this experience
had a deep impact upon me that I could never
have experienced through any book.

When we were there a few years ago, we saw the changing of the guard. Maybe you did too ... it was an amazing experience.
